Privacy

Your files stay in your own storage

MyStarStorage is software. Your photos and videos are kept in a storage account that belongs to you — for example your own Cloudflare R2 or Backblaze B2 space. When you upload, the file goes from your device straight into your account. It does not pass through us and we never keep a copy.

What we do keep

What we never do

Picture suggestions

If you use the suggestion feature, the picture is shown to an AI service through a private link that expires within the hour, so it can describe what is in it. The description comes back to your account. Turn it off simply by not using that page.

Other MyStar apps

Apps such as MyStarStories only see the photos you deliberately share with them, and only while an access key you created is switched on. You can switch a key off at any moment on the Connected apps page.

Leaving

You can disconnect your storage at any time; by default nothing is deleted. If you close your account, we delete what we hold about you. Your files remain yours, in your own storage.
